Pause. Consider. Reflect. Ponder. Think. Contemplate. Examine. Muse. Mull over. Ruminate. Digest. Take a moment.
We’re called upon to make a multitude of decisions each day. We execute plans, problem-solve and also process endless amounts of information. We sometimes push ourselves through a punishing schedule and a laundry list of tasks and projects.
It’s no wonder that we’re often left feeling depleted and disconnected from our internal selves.
Whether it’s for a quick minute or two or for a designated length of time, it’s vital that we regularly carve out time for ourselves to simply think things through.
To allow ourselves to entertain different outcomes and possibilities.
To welcome new ideas to come to the forefront and allow themselves to be known.
To give our subconscious the chance to be heard.
To quiet the mind and savor the stillness.
As 2022 winds down and you look toward the promise of a new year, I invite you to give yourself the gift of time to do the deep thinking and to really reflect on the year that’s coming to a close.
Take a number of deep, cleansing breaths so that you can completely clear your mind.
Celebrate every single WIN (especially what you consider the small ones). Take stock of your growth and everything you’ve learned. And as you reflect upon your achievements, think about every single thing you want to accomplish in your business and life in the new year.
Remember to focus on what matters to you and on what’s really important in your life.
What’s going to move the needle forward?
What do you need to do to accomplish these goals you’ve set for yourself?
Whom do you need to link arms with in order to make this happen?
What processes do you need to institute?
And equally as important, what do you need to stop doing and leave behind so that you can move forward confidently and freely?
Make it a habit to regularly schedule time into your schedule so that you can have these critical moments to simply think and ruminate. It will be a game-changer for both your business AND your life.
